About Me
My name is Aarush Bathula
I am a high school senior at Westview High School, OR interested in medicine, research, and public health.
My interest in drug resistance grew while researching Candida auris, an emerging drug-resistant fungus. That experience showed me how difficult infections can become when the medicines we depend on stop working.
Outside research, I have spent 160+ hours working with patients through COPE Health Scholars, completed 50+ hours of clinical shadowing, competed in HOSA and Science Olympiad, and volunteered in my community.
Fight Drug Resistance is my platform that brings these interests together: research, medicine, education, and service.
